Year 1/2 Illustrators

Today Year 1 and 2 had a special visit from Mrs Strickland's friend Jan McCafferty. Jan is an illustrator who illustrates children's books and designs her own greetings cards. After learning a little bit about her work and looking at some of her pictures, the children had a go at drawing a toy soldier, just like one of Jan's illustrations in Enid Blyton's 'Folk of the faraway tree' story. The children had to really concentrate and followed step by step instructions. Everyone was so proud of their finished designs.
