Year 1/2 Great Fire of London Houses

Date: 24th Jan 2017 @ 4:49pm

In 1666 a fire that started in a tiny bakery burnt down most of London. It was called The Great Fire of London. There were many reasons the fire was so large - lots of the houses were made of wood and were built very close together. Approximately 13,000 homes were destroyed in the fire. We created our own houses, after looking at pictures of houses from 1666. Over the next few weeks we will be making a display in the classroom.
