Chocolate cake week influenced by Michael Rosen

Date: 1st Mar 2018 @ 9:16pm

What a fun week full of engaged excitement and motivation to write for a meaning.

Monday: oh no! Three chocolate cakes have gone missing! We spent the day becoming police officers investigating who may have taken the cakes. We also created missing posters and we designed new chocolate cakes labelling the ingredients.

Tuesday: We watched Michael Rosen's chocolate poem with the whole school and then discussed what he should've done instead of lie about eating the cake. We also made our own craft cupcakes.

Wednesday: Today was a busy day! We made signs for our chocolate cafe including opening times and cafe name. We also wrote prices for our cupcakes and invitations for our year 5/6 buddies.

Thursday: In the morning we wrote a senses poem about chocolate cake after sampling a piece. The afternoon was very exciting as it was our grand opening of the chocolate cafe which our buddies attended, thank you for coming.

Friday: We are very excited to share our weeks activities with the rest of our school.

What a lovely week, well done Reception!
