Date: 12th Jan 2018 @ 4:58pm
All pupils have had the chance to fill in a questionnaire this week about how they think we can improve our school. The questions were:
how do you think pupils should travel around school?
how could we make sure everyone has a happy playtime?
how do we show good manners?
how can be kind to each other?
The children came up with some useful responses which will be discussed in assemblies.

Collage work based around Fibonacci, by Mrs Nolan
Date: 17th Oct 2017 @ 4:10pm
We created our individual collages out of brown box card and anaglypta wallpaper. We formed spirals by carefully cutting out leaf shapes and arranging them. We then attached each of our indiviual pieces together to form a class piece.
We then went on to creating collages using British leaf shapes which we had researched. We added inks in autumn colours to bring the collages together.
Our work was inspired by artist Andy Goldsworthy and the Fibonacci Sequence.
The Fibonacci spiral: an approximation of the golden spiral created by drawing circular arcs connecting the opposite corners of squares in the Fibonacci tiling; this one uses squares of sizes 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 and 21.They appear everywhere in Nature, from the leaf arrangement in plants, to the pattern of the florets of a flower, the bracts of a pinecone, or the scales of a pineapple.
