Year 3/4 Week ending 27.4.18

Date: 27th Apr 2018 @ 6:59pm

This week Year 3 and 4 started their Science topic: 'animals including humans' by making skeletons and parts of the body using straws/pasta.

All the children participated in role-play and improvisation by re-creating a scene from the book Gorilla by Anthony Browne. They also thought carefully about how the characters were feeling and what they might be thinking. I was really impressed with their responses.

We have moved on to fractions in maths and the year 3's were getting to grips with adding/subtracting fractions. We are having a big push on times tabes and I have been encouraging the children to practise regularly at home. Thank you for your support with this.

As our Anglo-Saxon topic continues, we had a go at writing a message to our friends using the Anglo- Saxon alphabet.
