yr 3 and 4 Mermaids Ahoy!

Date: 1st Nov 2015 @ 4:19pm

The last week of half term was a busy one for year three and four.

To launch our myths and legends writing project we have been loooking at all things mermaidy!

We researched and mind mapped mermaids, read lots of mermaid stories (we especially enjoyed reading How To Catch A Mermaid by Jane Ray) and then created and painted our own mermaid characters to use in our myths after half term.

We were also busy painting some Christmas art work to be used in our whole school Christmas card project.

In Maths we have been learning about 2d shapes and using the terms polygon, quadrilateral,  regular, parallel and  symmetrical to describe them. We learnt about the different types of triangles and we can now identify equilateral, isosceles, scalene and right angle traingles.

We are all excited about half term and looking forward to having fun with our families.
